Things to consider
when planning the invitation
- A
typical invitation
package consists of the invitation itself, a cover design, a separate
invitation to a reception or party, and an RSVP card and envelope.
Depending on your preferences, you may choose to have the invitation
in two languages (usually Hebrew and English)
- Some invitations use a cover. If you're considering this type
of design, what kind of imagery would you want. Would you want
to do part or all of it yourself?
- You'll want to send the invitations out 4-6 weeks in advance
of the ceremony. When planning, take into account design and printing
time:
It takes about two weeks to design and produce an invitation.
Printing takes 1-2 weeks. If you don't have an printer, I can
recommend one but I ask that you deal with the printer directly.
- If you need to let a vendor like a caterer know how many people
will be coming, it's generally a good idea to check with them
before setting the RSVP date.
